A 37,800 square-foot 2-story expansion (with basement) and major site improvements within existing property boundaries. The facility is home to more than 50 doctors and thousands of patients who were seen throughout the entire project. The project includes new Imaging Suite (CT Scanner, MRI, Ultrasound) dedicated Infusion Therapy wing, Physical Therapy room, Pediatric Exam rooms, a new OB wing and new Pharmacy built in compliance with USP 797 guidelines.

Methodist Hospital for Surgery

Dallas-based Methodist Health System continues its expansion into Addison with the development of a 105,000 s.f. Methodist Hospital for Surgery, which will open with seven fully-equipped operating rooms, 32 private patient rooms, 10 outpatient treatment rooms, a diagnostic imaging suite (including CT and MRI), and physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Methodist Hospital for Surgery is a joint venture partnership between area physicians, Methodist Health System and Nueterra Healthcare. The hospital will focus on treating patients in need of highly-specialized spine and joint surgery and will be the only dedicated orthopedics hospital of its kind in the area.

The entire construction process will be managed using BIM. All of the virtual coordination will result in more pre-fabricated systems, less rework, faster schedule, lower cost and a higher quality building delivered to Methodist with a 5-month accelerated schedule.

Kaiser Sunnyside Renovations

Lewis renovated a 4,568 square foot in-patient pharmacy, servicing the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center. The pharmacy remained fully operational during construction, requiring a phased schedule and off-hours work. Work included new clean rooms, a lounge, IV preparation areas, offices, medical staging, lockers, HVAC upgrades and new equipment and finishes.

Concurrently our team performed a one million dollar remodel of Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center’s inpatient laboratory. The lab, which remained fully operational 24 hours every day during construction, features new receiving, testing, processing, lounge, hematology, chemistry, administration, freezer storage, conference room and office areas and new pneumatic tube systems. Work in the lab included a new HVAC system, new equipment and new finishes. In order to allow full functionality of the space during construction and relocate critical equipment, construction was completed in seven phases.

Lewis has been retained by Group Health to work with the design team in recladding the Group Health building in Everett. The building’s EIFS siding will be replaced with a prefabricated terracotta panel system. We are helping the design team generate details for the panel system that will work with the existing windows and door openings. We will reclad the building while it is fully occupied, which will require Lewis expertise in phasing and scheduling.

Bryn Mawr Hospital – Ambulatory Care Center

IMC provided GC services for the core/shell and fit out of this three story 130,000 SF Ambulatory Surgical Center. This facility houses an imaging center, cancer center (including a LINAC Vault), cardiac rehabilitation and clinical and diagnostic spaces.

Penn Medicine at Valley Forge

IMC is serving as the Design/Builder, inclusive of shepherding the Land/Development process, for the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Chesterbrook location. This 90,000 SF project will provide clinical and primary care space, an imaging center, as well as provide outpatient surgical capabilities. It will incorporate classrooms, meeting rooms, a group lecture hall, conference/seminar facilities, administrative offices and support areas, full service
kitchen and a cafeteria.

This 95,000 s.f. , $20 million Center for Oral/Facial Health houses the University of Colorado School of Dentistry (UCSD) at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC) Fitzsimons campus. The mission of the School of Dentistry is to provide programs of excellence in teaching, research, patient care, and community/professional service for Colorado and the nation.

The UCSD is the only dental school in Colorado and the entire Rocky Mountain Region. The Center for Oral Health will provide clinical education space as well as clinical functions including general dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, surgery, radiology, and pediatric care, geriatric care, and special needs care.
