GDA was the architect for the Glazer’s Family of Companies new facility, a state-of-the-art distribution center at Fountain Lakes Commerce Center in St. Charles, Missouri.  Completed in January 2007, the 254,458 square foot facility houses all of its Missouri offices and sales force, previously divided between 5 different locations.  The building hosts a single-story, 218,400 square foot warehouse as well as a two-story, 36,058 square foot office area.  While the warehouse portion of the building currently includes 26,000 square feet of cool storage space, GDA designed the site to accommodate an additional 15,000 square foot future expansion of cool storage.  The facility was constructed using tilt-up concrete panels with decorative reveal patterns while the exterior entrances include brick pavers.  GDA designed the warehouse using the cross dock configuration with receiving docks on one end and shipping docks on the other.  The office area’s interior finishes include maple doors, granite counter tops and ceramic tile flooring.  The space also includes a tasting room that opens to a second story balcony and a catering room.
